Talk about communication — always explaining what you're doing before you do it, using curtains and screens, treating every patient as an individual. This isn't box-ticking; interviewers want to see genuine commitment.
3What would you do if you noticed a patient's condition was deteriorating?
Walk through the escalation process clearly — reporting immediately to the registered nurse, documenting observations, and staying with the patient until handover. Show you know your scope of practice and work within it.
4How do you manage your own wellbeing when working in a demanding clinical environment?
Be honest but professional. Talk about debriefs with colleagues, knowing when to seek support from your manager, and how you separate work from personal time. Burnout awareness is valued, not weakness.
